Hello to all of our Carey on Dental Family,
After 48 wonderful years in dentistry, I find myself reflecting on how fortunate I’ve been to do what I love for so long. It’s been an incredible journey, filled with friendships, laughter, and the privilege of caring for so many people and families over the years. As I begin easing into retirement, I’m looking forward to spending more time with family, maybe travelling a little, and finally poking a hole in my bucket list. That said, I’m not disappearing just yet! I’ll still be around the office one day a week, continuing to see patients and helping ensure everything runs smoothly. Dentistry has been such a big part of my life, and I’m not quite ready to hang up the handpiece entirely. I still look forward to catching up with familiar faces and continuing to do the work I love, just at a more relaxed pace.
With that in mind, it gives me great pleasure to introduce Dr. Gurjap Singh, who has taken over our dental practice. Over the time I’ve gotten to know him, I’ve found him to be an exceptionally skilled dentist and, more importantly, a truly kind and humble person. He carries himself with quiet confidence and has wisdom beyond his years, qualities that immediately made me feel at ease. What impresses me most about Dr. Gurjap is how much he values relationships. He believes that dentistry is as much about people as it is about teeth. He takes the time to listen, understand, and build trust with his patients. He treats everyone with fairness, respect, and genuine compassion. I’ve told him more than once that if I were a little younger, I’d have jumped at the chance to be his partner in the office. That’s how much faith I have in him!
To every single one of you who have placed your trust in me over the years, I want to say thank you, sincerely. It has been one of the greatest privileges of my life to care for you, your families and friends. I have every confidence that Dr. Gurjap will continue that same tradition of kindness, integrity, and excellent care that has always been the foundation of this practice.
With this letter my wife Debra and I respectfully ask each and every one of you that reads this letter to meet him and you will find that these words are true. I’m certain you’ll see right away why I hold him in such high regard.
With my warmest thanks and best wishes,
Dr. R. Garry Graves
P.S. He’s also got a great sense of humor
