At Carey on Family Dental, we truly value the trust you place in us for your dental care, and we’re grateful to have you as part of our family. As a gentle reminder, we want to take a moment to revisit our cancellation policy, which has been in place for years, to help ensure that we can continue to provide excellent care to everyone.
When you schedule an appointment with our dentists or hygienists, that time is specially reserved just for you. Our team plans their day around these booked appointments, and as much as we wish we could accommodate last-minute changes, when an appointment is missed or canceled with less than 48 hours' notice, it’s nearly impossible to fill that time slot with another patient. This not only impacts the care we can offer others, but it also affects the livelihood of our dedicated team members, who depend on these appointments to support themselves and their families.
Over the past few months, we’ve seen an increase in missed appointments and cancellations without enough notice, and we want to gently remind you that, as part of our policy, a $75 fee is charged for missed or canceled appointments with less than 48 hours' notice. This helps us compensate for the time lost and ensures we can continue to provide the high-quality care you expect from us.
To help reduce scheduling conflicts, we send multiple reminders: 7 days ahead, the day before, and the day of your appointment. We understand that life can be unpredictable and unexpected things do happen, and in the event of an emergency, we are more than happy to work with you around this, however, we ask that you give us as much notice as possible so we can serve everyone in the most efficient and compassionate way.
