The Dentist

Dr. Garry graves (Tues-Fri)

Garry has been a dentist for over 35 years now, graduating out of University of Alberta in 1977. His love and passion for dentistry shows in his enthusiasm in the office, his laughter is engaging and his dedication to his patients shows in how he treats you. He was drawn to dentistry when he was 12 years old, as he had an abscess that developed on his front tooth creating intense pain. In his words the pain was 'horrific'. He was amazed at how fast this dentist, who took him in on 'off' hours, not only took the pain away but also was able to actually save his tooth. Garry made his mind up then to become a dentist, and the desire to be able to help someone out in pain, became his legacy. The rest is history.

Associate Dentist

Dr. Colin Duffy (mon +Thurs)

Colin graduated from dental school in 1995 from Dalhousie University's School of Dentistry. And as a member of the Canadian Forces Dental Services until 2013 he has practiced dentistry around the world. He continues to travel and spends 1-2 weeks every year working with the dental charity Kindness in Action, providing free dental treatment for the poor in rural communities, most recently in Cambodia (January 2015).
In his spare time, Colin enjoys woodworking and mining for crystals in BC and other parts of the world.

Dental Hygienists

Debra Lee Ratcliffe

Debra has been in dentistry since 1976 working as a dental assistant. She has been a dental hygienist since 1982. She has enjoyed her dental hygiene profession immensely. In the beginning of her career she worked for Dr. Ian Hadfield, a gifted periodontist, which was an eye opener when it comes to understanding the dynamics of gum disease as well as an excellent learning experience. As well as her role as hygienist, Debra also works as the Administrator behind the scenes. In the last few months Debra has stepped down from being a hygienist. She is still involved with the office as the Office Manager only now.

'As co-owner of this practice I hope to ensure that you attain all that you want out of dentistry and feel the respect as a patient that you deserve.'

Carrie (mon-THURS)

Carrie has dual job skills within our office. She is skilled as a Dental Assistant as well as a Dental Hygienist. We are so excited to have her on board with us as she is a very knowledgeable and skilled professional in the field of Dentistry. Carrie has 25 years of dental experience with the last 15 years working as a dental hygienist. She makes it her role to ensure that you attain what you need in her very skilled hands. Carrie strives to keep up-to-date with all the current research in the field by taking continuing education courses and reading a variety of dental journals. She is friendly, kind and eager to educate our patients on how to best care for their oral hygiene. Carrie is an extremely talented person who (in her spare time) is a silversmith who specializes and creates beautifully inspired precious earrings. Her and her husband have one son.

Aziz (Tues+thurs)

We are so fortunate to have Aziz in our dental group. He brings a lightness to our office. His dental background before coming to Canada was a practicing Dentist in Bangladesh for years. Aziz has a wealth of dental knowledge from all his background studies. He graduated as a Registered Dental Hygienist in Canada and he has been practicing in our office since 2015. Aziz has a kind and thoughtful presence and he has a very easy going personality.
